Semaglutide Starter Guide: Your Comprehensive Manual

Welcome to your journey with semaglutide, a powerful medication that can make a significant difference in your health. As you embark on this path with Reverse Medical, we're here to provide you with all the information you need to start your treatment successfully.

Below, you'll find detailed instructions on storage and dosing for your semaglutide medication:

Storage Instructions:

  1. Keep your semaglutide pen in its original packaging until ready for use.

  2. Store the pen in the refrigerator between 36°F to 46°F (2°C to 8°C).

  3. Do not freeze semaglutide. Freezing can cause damage to the medication.

  4. Protect the pen from light by storing it in its original carton.

  5. Keep semaglutide out of reach of children and pets.

Dosing Instructions for This Month's Dose:

  1. Before each dose, wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water.

  2. Check the expiration date on the pen. Do not use semaglutide if it has expired.

  3. Remove the pen from the refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes before injecting. Do not warm semaglutide in any other way, such as by heating it in the microwave or placing it in warm water.

  4. Inspect the solution in the pen. It should be clear and colorless. Do not use semaglutide if it is discolored or contains particles. (B12 will cause the color to be Pink/Red)

  5. Choose a clean injection site on your abdomen (stomach area), thigh, or upper arm.

  6. Use a new, sterile needle for each injection.

  7. Your healthcare provider will prescribe a specific dose of semaglutide for you. Adjust the dose on the pen according to their instructions.

  8. Inject semaglutide subcutaneously (under the skin) as directed by your healthcare provider. Rotate injection sites with each dose to prevent irritation or lumps under the skin.

  9. After injecting, dispose of the needle and pen properly in a puncture-resistant container.

Additional Tips:

  • If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember, unless it is almost time for your next scheduled dose. In that case, skip the missed dose and resume your regular dosing schedule. Do not double up on doses to make up for a missed one.

  • Keep a record of your injections, including the date, time, and injection site, to track your progress and ensure proper dosing.
